These beautiful watercolor pencils are truly a unique drawing experience, and will allow you to create new color expressions that were never possible before! Inktense features smooth and creamy .4mm water-soluble colored lead. When used with water, the vibrant colors explode onto the surface of your paper with a brilliance unmatched by any other watercolor pencils on the market. The colors are a bit more opaque than most, creating a true ink-like effect. Once dry, Inktense is permanent and cannot be lifted with water. This allows you to wash over your designs with other media and create spectacular effects. Plus, Inktense dries quickly, enabling blocks of color to be laid next to one another without bleeding. Inktense outliner is a special non-soluble pencil, similar to graphite, and is used for sketch and wash techniques. It provides similar results to a resist technique in silk painting. Although we carry the 12 color set of Inktense Watercolor Pencils, we urge you to splurge and get the 24 color set. For the price of a nice Chardonnay you can make sweet music with your compositions using this incredible new product. Both sets come in very attractive metal tins. We have really sharpened our price to make this your new best friend in or out of the studio. We suggest using Inktense on Raffine sketch pads or any high quality rag surface.
