El Greco has a more generous surface allowing colors to really move into the priming for dramatic images with all thinned and water-based media. Use it to create watercolor effects with acrylics, paint "fresco" style with egg tempera or traditional opaque watercolors and for applying a wide variation of mixed media applications with chalks, charcoals, pastels, decorative papers and whatever else you can imagine. Made with 3 hand applied coats of a special family recipe of gesso priming to provide a softer feel, more absorbent surface and incredible, natural beautiful surface. Created on beefy, strong, tight weave cotton it is like no other canvas we have ever seen.
