Sennelier Oil Color Solvents
- Essential Mineral Oil - Evaporates less quickly than petroleum spirits. Creamy texture under the brush and leaves no trace after evaporation. Allows the paste to remain fresh longer while working. May be used to clean fresh paint from brushes.
- Mineral Spirits - Less greasy and less odorous when compared to turpentine, and evaporates less quickly. Used for extending colors or touch-up varnishes. Also used for cleaning brushes because it does not dry out or gum-up like turpentine.
- Oil and Acrylic Brush Cleaner - Ideal for cleaning brushes, palette knives, palettes that are coated with paint, mediums or varnishes. Rinse tools with water after cleaning.
- Rectified Turpentine - Pure Landes pine gum spirits obtained by distillation. A traditional thinner, recommended for oil paint. Mixed with colors, it produces a very agreeable paste. Particularly suitable for the abbozzo or draft phase and for general work on the painting.
- Venetian Turpentine - Pure natural balsam with the consistency of honey. Add as a plasticizer and gloss enhancing agent to oil colors, varnishes and mediums. Creates jewel-like quality with a tough enamel-like surface. Avoid excess.
