When in Italy we came across these beautiful painting panels that are made from special (approximately 5/32" thick) compressed wood and covered with an even textured canvas that has an acid-free, all media priming. They offer artists the ability to upgrade from Canvas Panels made of cardboard and canvas. With these painting panels you still get the classic appeal of a true canvas support with the stiffness and lasting quality of wood. In addition we were able to get the manufacturer to produce them in oval and circle shapes. This solves the problem associated with framing oval and circle canvases. To frame these panels you can simply mount or mat and use conventional glazing and frames. No need to find special oval and circle frames and trying to cut oval or circle glass! |
