Stabilo Tone’s special lead will adhere to glass, leather and metal in addition to paper. You can sharpen the lead to a fine point, get soft wide strokes or even chisel with knife to make special lines. The lead blends down to a true transparent wash making the most brilliant watercolor paintings.

Use in three ways; one, by drawing on paper and make sweeping wash strokes with brush, two, by dipping into water first and then painting or three, by applying a wet brush to the lead and then painting. The special dry blend-able lead makes colored pencil drawing-color pencil painting! Lay one color over the other to blend or for fine graduations and gloss effects rub with finger or stomp. When dry, the pigments have great covering power and work beautifully on black and other colored papers. Paint with wax by heating up the lead at the tip with a hair dryer. The creamy-soft lead will give you the most intense colors you've ever seen. You can achieve relief effects by laying one color over another and scratching out the lower color with a scriber.
