Made out of Kolinsky grade pure red sable hair, these brushes have a soft feel, natural spring and hold a generous amount of color. These brushes create smooth and accurate strokes. Rounds come to a fine point and Brights come to a flawless chisel edge that resists splitting. These brushes are chock-full of hair giving them an extra full body for maneuvering thick as well as thin bodied colors. They are excellent for oils and work beautifully with acrylics, caseins, watercolor, alkyds and egg tempera too. Each brush is made by hand cupping the hair, hand tying the bundle, hand setting the bundle into gold plated seamless ferrules and gluing and crimping the ferrule by hand onto balanced, long matte black wood handles with gold dipped ends.
