Dolphin papers are Marine sized (a term used in Europe to describe the long size) and they are individually handmade with 4 natural deckle edges. Dolphin is made for us by the St. Armand paper company in Canada out of handmade Dominion Watercolor paper. Dominion is a world class handmade, acid-free paper made from long grain cotton and linen rags. The paper is sized both in the vat and then surfaced sized. It possesses a rich white color and very strong surfaces that will withstand virtually any painting attack. The two Dolphin surface are both beautiful and random. Cold Pressed is similar to a mould-made with a gentle, carefree ebb and flow. Extra Rough is much rougher than a traditional mould-made rough, making it superb forbold and forceful expressions of the sea. Great for acrylics and pastels too.
