Shiva Signature Oil Colors are made with the finest grade of alkali-refined linseed oil available. This type of oil is well-noted for excellent color stability. “Straw” in color, it has a minimal effect on the color of the pigment and will not darken with age. In certain colors, such as the whites, flesh colors, ice blue, and light brilliant yellow, we use safflower oil. With these sensitive pigments that yellow easily, this oil produces a much better non-yellowing color.
