As with all Creative Mark products a serious heavy duty stretcher bar required a lot of time researching with the artist. What they found amazed them as artists overwhelmingly wanted to use only heavy duty stretchers but the price was too prohibitive. Only about 15% of all artists that stretch canvases use heavy duty stretchers. Creative Mark set its focus on providing a better quality all Pine bar and a way to sell these bars to artists at a substantial savings.

These bars feature a 1-1/2” deep rounded lip so there will be no “ghost” impressions on the canvas surface. The rounded back edge reduces surface friction and allows for a smoother, tighter draw on the canvas for a more even painting surface. The feel when you put the brush to canvas using these stretchers is just marvelous! Cross braces fit in slots at back of stretcher bars and are easily fit with flat head screws.
