Intensely pigmented, extraordinarily lightfast, and completely resistant to aging, Lascaux Artist Acrylics combine the advantages of traditional oil colors with the convenience of water-soluble, durable and quick-drying acrylics. They have exceptional covering power, all colors dry to an equally hard, yet elastic satin finish that remains insoluble in water, and they layer exceptionally well with no shrinking. Colors do not oxidize, yellow or crack even in the thickest layers.

Lascaux Artists’ Acrylics are offered in a balanced assortment of 46 hues, from which any number of nuances can be mixed. They consist of only the purest hand selected pigments and a unique co-polymer binder for the most beautiful vibrancy and handling available in acrylic paints. Colors are made to individual formulations to exploit the full splendor of each individual pigment and so display true resonance, transparency and intensity.

The consistency of Lascaux Artists’ Acrylics is designed to offer the maximum number of uses. Undiluted, its thick consistency will allow impastos made with a brush or knife to hold their form. Diluted with water, their high pigment concentration becomes evident, showing vibrancy and purity even in thin washes. When dry, colors can be easily overpainted in any number of layers, from subtle glazes to heavy impastos. Through mixtures with the extensive range of Lascaux mediums, gels and other painting aids, the characteristics and properties of the colors can be modified from deep matt to high gloss, from transparent impastos to textured impastos.
