Ingres is characterized by a lovely laid chain line texture pattern. This surface is a favorite with artists at all skill levels and working in a wide range of media. The laid finish is fantastic for drawing with charcoal, pastels, ink, Conte Crayon, and pencil as well as calligraphy and even off-set printing. Its high rag content makes it very strong allowing for repeated reworking. Heavyweight 160gr Ingres also lends itself well to light washes and oil pastel for wonderful mixed media applications. Ingres is acid-free and neutral pH made from skillful and time tested blend of both cotton and alpha cellulose. Two deckle edges give this paper a real rich look. We sell both 90gr and 160gr sheets in all 20 colors in 25 sheet packs. Pads are also available for travel use.
