Black Sable is a perfect complement for artists working with Kolinsky Red Sable. It shapes to a crisp edge or sharp point, allows for fantastic control and leaves virtually no noticeable brush strokes. It is just slightly coarser than Kolinsky hair allowing it to stand up better to rough surfaces. It is also considerably lower priced, making even the largest sizes more affordable. Since it shapes and responds so well it is perfect for the watercolorist working on large pictures needing a long handled brush, works incredibly well with thinned oils and acrylics and grips paint evenly and full for the truest strokes possible.

All brushes feature special Performen matte black wood handles with special finger grooves for excellent feel through every stroke.
